Green Garlic Chutney Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup green garlic leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves (cilantro) chopped
  • 2-3 nos green chilies chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
  • 2 tablespoon roasted gram dal
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • water as required

Method
 

  1. Begin by thoroughly washing the green garlic leaves and coriander leaves. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.

  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the green garlic leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, roasted gram dal, lemon juice, and salt.

  3. Blend the ingredients together until you achieve a coarse paste. If needed, add a little water to facilitate blending, but keep in mind that the chutney should have a slightly thick consistency.

  4. Taste the chutney and adjust the salt and lemon juice according to your preference. You can also add more green chilies if you prefer a spicier kick.
  5. Once you’re satisfied with the taste and texture, transfer the Green Garlic Chutney to a clean, airtight jar.
