- 1 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup nuts (almonds and cashews) chopped (optional)
In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee over medium heat.

Add whole wheat flour (atta) and roast it on low to medium heat until it turns golden brown. Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.

In a separate saucepan, add water. Bring it to a boil.

Add sugar to the roasted flour. Then, slowly add the boiled water to the roasted wheat flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Ensure a smooth and lump-free consistency.
Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring continuously. The mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan.

Add chopped almonds and cashews (if using) to the mixture. Continue stirring until the nuts are well incorporated.

Once the Kada Prasad achieves a halwa-like consistency and ghee starts separating, it is ready. Serve it warm!
