  • 2 tea cups
  • 1 strainer

Method

    2 cups water
  2. Once the water boils, add tea leaves and tea masala to the boiling water. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to extract the flavors.
2 teaspoon tea leaves, 1/2 teaspoon tea masala
  3. Now, add hot milk to the boiling tea. Bring it to a boil and then turn the heat off. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes.
    1 cup hot milk
  4. Now, add jaggery to the tea. And turn on the heat. Let it come to a boil and do not stir. Allow the jaggery to dissolve completely.

  5. Pour the jaggery tea into cups and serve it hot.

Notes

  • It is important to turn off the heat and let the tea rest for a few minutes before adding jaggery.
  • If possible, use organic jaggery in this recipe as it minimizes the risk of curdling.
  • After adding jaggery to the tea, do not stir the tea as it will result in curdling.
