Badam Halwa with Almond Flour Recipe

- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon pure ghee
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoon chopped nuts
- a pinch of saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon of warm milk
Heat a pan or kadai on low flame. Add ghee to the kadai and let it melt. 2 tablespoon pure ghee
After the ghee is melted, add almond flour to the kadai. Roast almond flour for 8-10 minutes till it gets a golden brown color. Make sure there are no lumps.

Next, add milk to the roasted almond flour. Be careful as it might splutter. Mix everything well. Keep stirring so that no lumps are formed.

Cook till all the milk is absorbed and the mixture becomes thick.
Now, add sugar and saffron soaked milk to the kadai. Mix everything well. Cook till the sugar is completely melted and the mixture is thickened. It will take around 5 minutes.

Add cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for 2 more minutes.

Garnish with chopped nuts. You can serve the halwa as it is or make it into almond barfis.
